My Home Town

I had the opportunity to go home and celebrate family and friends. My friend Marla received an award for being a "Woman of Distinction". And that she is.
Juneau could not have been more beautiful. It was snowing hard on arrival (the first thing I saw was Engineers Cut-off) which means the 'ceiling' was about 100 feet. But as evening approached that evening the clouds lifted and the next day was spectacular.

I emailed John and asked if he could take us skiing. Although I grew up in Juneau - I had never skied much and had never skied off the ski area Eagle Crest. We had the best weather anyone could ever wish for. Very little wind and fresh snow...it was amazing. We hiked to the top of Mt. Troy.
