Fireweed Station Weekend Talkeetna

Our friends Tom and Hobbs own and operate Fireweed Station a bed and Breakfast in Talkeetna Alaska. Every year, about this time, Tom checks in to see if we're going to come up (Talkeetna is about 2 hours north of Anchorage) to ski the Oosik Classic ski race and...would we like to stay with them. It's an offer nobody could turn down.

Tom and Hobbs are fantastic cooks, interesting people and have the most beautiful B&B in Alaska. They have poured their heart and soul into resurrecting a very old log cabin out of the mud and into a very modern warm and comfortable place to stay.

Talkeetna is the jumping off point for most of the climbing community here in Alaska. Mountain guides are as common as blue grass musicians and views of Denali are completely inspiring. So here's the weekend highlights and, no we didn't ski the route this year, we ejoyed the company of old and new friends.
