Moving from Winter to Spring...

I went biking with brother Jake and his boys Pete and Bien - Ray went skiing with his friend Bob. While they were skiing we stopped by Bob's cabin near Hope Alaska. Hope is about a hour south of Anchorage - the road is great for a bike ride - traffic is light and the road has decent shoulders. We parked at the Hope cut off and had a very nice 16 mile downhill (for the most part) ride. Pete at Mile 15
We ended our bike ride at Bowman's Bear Creek Lodge and Cafe. I had the "big beautiful Salad" and it was just that!Ray went Skiing in Turnagain Pass. The conditions were just right for a skate ski up Lyons Creek. The temperatures in Turnagain Pass were below freezing the night before. If you get an early start the snow conditions are like the Anchorage groomers have worked on it all winter. It's fast and hard and you can cover some distance! Today is another beautiful day...
