Mark and Linda were terrific hosts, putting up with us while we enjoyed seeing how McAlister and Mason have grown up. They are great kids and have the Metcalfe sense of humor. Poker is their new favorite card game.We needed a break from the freeze and went south to visit brother Mark, Linda and McAlister and Mason and then Aunt Caroline. We took our bikes and discovered "Lance Armstrong Country". It is beautiful riding with small untraveled roads - lots to look at and a variety of terrain.
Los Olivos, Santa Ynez were great towns for a nice meal and good wine. Julie and Natalie recommended a couple of places to eat dinner. They were fabulous! Here's a few photos. Travelling to Santa Barbara was so easy, Anchorage - Seattle, quick connection then land a a small easy going airport. We left here around 10 AM and were in Santa Barbara by 5 PM.
Then we came home went back to work and took a Saturday ski at Tin Can in Turnagain. We have a very nice life.
